ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project was a part of six week module on New Service Design and Development in Strategic Design Management at M.Des course at National Institute of Design.
The service was designed to provide a time/effort convenience to help people make their social appeal better by aiding their dressing choices.
DEFINING SERVICE
DEFINING SERVICE
A transaction where one entity/server fulfills the requirements/needs of another entity/served, in exchange for some value, the core premise being that the server fulfills the need in a way substantially economical than possible for the served doing it on its own.
Thus, a service, as per the above definition, provides CONVENIENCE. It could be the convenience of effort, time, money, cognitive load, or all of the above.
IDENTIFYING NEED
Dressing up in the morning, to attend college, is perceived by most as an inconvenient hassle.
Most people (subconsciously, after prodding) admit they would like to dress in a better way, but remain conflicted between wanting to dress up, but feeling guilty about taking the time to focus on clothes(Cognitive dissonance)
"Need of a solution that either reduces the TIME TAKEN, or reduces the GUILT associated with time taken."
